A Florida lawyer was arrested for allegedly stripping in a busy bar after being told she was “too drunk” to be served, hours after she was released from jail.

Kelly Elkins, age 49, was “completely naked” when officers arrived at the Beach Lounge in St. Pete Beach and refused to dress, according to an arrest affidavit.

The licensed attorney was booked into the Pinellas County Jail early Friday morning, less than 24 hours after being released for allegedly drinking at a nearby Thai restaurant and leaving without paying, online records show.

After getting out of jail, she visited the Beach Lounge on Friday and was already “intoxicated until point that the manager refused to attend to her”, according to the affidavit.

Then “she entered the bathroom and returned to the bar without clothes, completely naked,” says the affidavit , and points out that there were “several customers” witnessing everything.

The manager told her to “put on her clothes and leave,” but she refused, the complaint says. When the officers arrived, Elkins was still “naked at the bar” and “had to be told several times to get dressed.” ”, saying that she was “too tired”, the officer wrote about the lawyer “who did not listen to the authorities”.

Elkins was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct and released on parole, court documents show.

Elkins is still listed as a member of the Bar of Florida, which he joined over 20 years ago. The Bar Association “has opened a file” to consider possible disciplinary action, a spokesperson told the New York Post on Tuesday.

Elkins is also a licensed real estate agent, according to his LinkedIn.
