Puerto Rican basketball player José Juan Barea announced on Tuesday the construction of the JUMP Sports Development Center, an innovative multi-sports project with accommodation, in an abandoned school in San Juan.

The facility will also host the latest research on physical training and the most advanced technology to help athletes of all levels and ages identify and achieve their goals, whether it be overcoming a physical injury or developing their full athletic potential.

The first phase of construction , whose investment will reach $7 million dollars, is expected to be completed in the fall of 2022.

Likewise, the facility will have a hotel to accommodate athletes who seek to train and stay in the same place so that they can focus on your training without interruptions and without having to travel from one facility to another.

It will also serve people seeking physical therapy or rehabilitation. Ultimately, JUMP will be developed as a pioneering model for the development of youth and collegiate sports.
