Former United States President Barack Obama and his wife Michell have been part of a controversy after it became known that the couple is building a mansion in the community of Waimanalo, Hawaii.
Now According to TMZ, the construction of the property is in its final stage, so soon the Obama family will be able to enjoy sunny afternoons on the famous island.
What different media outlets have reported is that the property is being built on a three-acre lot, which they bought in 2015 for $8.7 million dollars, and is distributed in three separate structures to be enjoyed by the Obama family and their guests.
It should be noted that it has been commented that one of the three structures will be used by the United States Secret Service.
The controversy surrounding this has to do with the rejection of the environmentalists, since they consider that the work that is being carried out on this land has as a consequence the erosion of the coast.
Previously, a property was built on this same land that served as the setting for the famous series of the years 80, “Magnum PI”.
Nothing remains of that television reference, since the Obamas’ idea was to tear it down and build in its place a more modern space that continues to receive criticism.
