Ukraine today estimated at least 198 the number of Ukrainian deaths from the war launched by Russia last Thursday against the country, according to Ukraine’s Minister of Health, Víktor Liashkó .
“Unfortunately, according to operational data, we have 198 deaths, including 3 children, and 1.35 injured, 33 of which they are minors“, he stated on his Facebook account.
A missile hit a building in Kiev
At least 35 people were injured last morning in Kiev, including two children, according to the balance of the entire city made by its mayor, Vitali Klistchko, who also reported that a Russian missile hit an apartment building in the west of the city.
Likewise, Vitali Klistchko denied today through a statement from his municipal cabinet the presence of regular Russian troops in the city after a night of intense fighting and attempts by the Russian Army to control the capital of Ukraine.
“The Army, the Police and the National Guard, the Territorial Defense Units and the volunteer corps defend the city”, he assured, after pointing out that barricades are being installed on several streets in the city, which could hinder the movement of transport.
Nevertheless, he stressed that the city’s key services are operating normally and ensured that public transport, including the metro, which also serves as an air-raid shelter, allows essential workers to be transported to their jobs.
“There will be more difficult days and nights, but we will survive,” he added, noting that “justice is on our side.”
The former Ukrainian boxer, who the day before published photos in which he was dressed a military uniform in an appeal to resist the enemy advance, assured that the Russian Army tried to enter the city from the northwest, where it controls the airdr omo from Hostomel, but his forces “were neutralized”.
“However, there are still sabotage groups in Kiev”, he warned, calling on the population to remain calm and stay shelters.
