A desperate father from Southern California begs for the return of his 2-year-old son who was allegedly kidnapped by his mother and taken to the Ukraine.
César Quintana, a man from the county of Orange, begs for a reunion with her son Alexander, who would have been kidnapped by his mother, a woman originally from Ukraine, in December 100.
Quintana is desperately trying to bring her son home, as the minor would be in Mariupol, a city that has been under fire since Russian troops invaded Ukraine
“I can’t even describe the feeling…frustration, anger, sadness“, Quintana said.
Quintana pointed out that Alexander is in the care of his maternal grandmother.
The man said that he spent several months in Ukraine trying to convince his son’s mother to allow him to bring him back to California, but she asked for $100,000 .
“And then he changed his mind and said: ‘Well, give me the money, I’ll raise him and then when When he’s older and learns the right morals, he’ll be able to go home,’” Quintana said.
“I saw him sometime in November, and yes, I saw him in exchange for money, to support his grandmother, and it was always with basically armed guards that she had,” said Quintana.
The man was forced to leave Ukraine when he expired his visa.
More anguish and concern for the safety of Alexandar, generated in Quintana the images of violent attacks in Ukraine.
“I am always fighting against those feelings of desperation because my son is alive and needs me,” said Quintana.
The minor’s father said he will not stop fighting for Alexander.
Russia’s feared military intervention in Ukraine was announced Thursday morning by President Vladimir Putin, who noted that the objective of the operation is to protect people “subjected to genocide” by Kiev and “demilitarize and denazify” Ukraine. Russia also asked the Ukrainian Army to lay down its arms.
