Ecuadorian Michael Estrada, forward for DC United, made his MLS debut this Saturday with a brace in his team’s 3-0 win at home against Charlotte led by Spanish coach Miguel Ángel Ramírez, who played the first match of his history in this championship.
Estrada, signed this year by DC United on loan from Toluca, with the option to purchase permanently, started and sealed his double before the break .
He showed personality by taking charge in the minute 37 of converting the 1-0 penalty, marked with an accurate cross shot that he deceived the rival goalkeeper, and widened the gap a few seconds before the break with a shot from outside the area after a decisive touch from a defender.
