The World Boxing Council (WBC) joined with the International Boxing Federation (IBF), World Boxing Organization (WBO) and the World Boxing Association (WBA) to establish its position with regarding Russia’s military attack on Ukraine.
The four organizations that govern world boxing decided not to sanction any championship held in Russia. This announcement was made this weekend in a note entitled “The world of boxing united for immediate peace”.
“Just as this war has put an end to boxing in Ukraine, our organizations they will not sanction the fights in Russia, until a deeper evaluation of the situation”, announced the WBC, IBF, WBO and WBA.
Without mentioning more details, they concluded: “May God bless everyone and give peace to our world.”
