The First thing Monday morning, the Russian and Ukrainian delegations will begin talks and try to negotiate a way out of the war conflict that has affected Ukrainian territory.

These talks will take place at the Aleksdrovka checkpoint- Vilcha, located on the border between Belarus and Ukraine, according to sources close to Russian and Ukrainian media.

“It is not a postponement, the meeting will take place in the morning due to logistical issues of the Ukrainian side”, said a source quoted by the Russian agency TASS.

In principle, the Russian delegation proposed that the meeting be held in Minsk, the Belarusian capital; however, Zelensky refused to attend that city due to the role played by its president, Alexander Lukashenko, one of Putin’s main allies during the war process.

“If there were no aggressive actions from your territory, we could talk in Minsk, but now we say ‘no’ to Minsk. Other cities can be the venue”, Zelensky pointed out.

New possible threat from the Belarusian side

Amid expectations for the start of negotiations, Belarus approved this Sunday a new constitution, which has caused controversy, since Among the new measures, it is highlighted that the nation will abandon its non-nuclear status, so they could receive Russian nuclear weapons, something that had not happened since they abandoned atomic weapons after the fall of the Soviet Union.

“If you (the West) transfer nuclear weapons to Poland or Lithuania, then I will turn to Putin to return the nuclear weapons I delivered without any conditions”, Zelensky threatened this Sunday after the disputed elections.
