From the problems at the border to the reform to protect undocumented immigrants, a group of 26 civil organizations on immigration issues enlist President Joe Biden for his State of the Union before Congress.
Each of the listed points contains particular objectives, in addition to recognizing more than 200 actions of the Biden Administration, but emphasizing pending issues, such as protecting and ensuring that families are kept together; act against measures that affect black immigrants, such as Haitians; reduce the persecution of undocumented immigrants by ICE and implement the promised asylum system at the border.
Lia Parada, director of Legislative Defense at Immigration HUB, one of the groups that participated in the elaboration of the report, explains its details and the challenges of the Biden Administration.
