Silvia Pinal’s family seems to never come out of a controversy, from domestic abuse, rape and money problems. Now, the family is immersed in a conflict over the Silvia Pinal Theater located in Mexico City.
During Years ago this theater was directed by Mónica Marban, who was not directly part of the Pinal Guzmán family. According to what he says, he always had a good relationship with Pinal and everything with the theater was in order from the beginning.
In an exclusive interview for the medium “TVyNovelas”, Marban said that one day he went to Pinal’s house and in the middle of the talk Luis Enrique Guzmán came in and told him that after talking with his sisters they had decided that they wanted the theater to be given to him.
Marban replied that he would and that he would wait for his settlement, apparently her answer did not please him at all. She says that Pinal is calm and that they continue to have a friendly relationship, she even said that during a lunch with other friends the subject was discussed and she only said “I hope everything goes well”.
The former Diego Rivera Theater was closed during the two years of confinement due to the pandemic, so its current director explains that the economic income during 2020 and 2021 were not the best.
Despite that, that she escaped from the hands of her directors, the management in the place has always been the best and at all times the actress has been given reasons. Not only have great actors with blockbuster plays passed through this cultural venue, but also singing stars.

Three years ago the actress confessed that she had in mind to build another theater; however, so far that plan has not been put into action. What is certain is her return to the stage in a children’s play.
