instagram-activates-automatic-subtitles-in-spanish

Instagram has expanded the function that allows you to search for nearby places on the map with the possibility of saving favorites, a novelty that is accompanied by the introduction of automatic subtitles in Spanish in the videos in the feed.

The company will introduce a redesigned search experience in the coming weeks, which will incorporate searches using keywords to the options available up to now: accounts and using hashtags.

This novelty will be useful in those cases in which users do not have an exact tag or account, and have to do a rather tentative search. The results will show photos and videos related to the word they have entered.

Last year, Instagram incorporated a ‘search on the map’ function, with which you can find places near the user such as restaurants, cafes or parks, taking into account their location.

This function has now been extended with the possibility of saving the favorite places on the map in the same collection, as reported by the company in a statement.

Subtitles in Spanish have also been introduced automatically generated by artificial intelligence in the videos in the feed, a feature, initially designed for people who are deaf or hard of hearing, which can make it easier for everyone to use the application, also in noisy environments or with the sound muted.
