A man was shot while riding the violent New York Subway in Brooklyn, and was hospitalized in critical condition.
The unidentified victim was shot while riding a train on the Manhattan-bound L line near the Broadway Junction station around 10 pm Sunday, according to law enforcement sources, reported New York Post.
It is not clear the reason for the shot, which is added to the long list of violent incidents in the New York subway, including robberies , attacks, accidents, natural deaths, suicides and homicides. Thursday night, a Department of Health (DOH) scientist was hit in the head multiple times with a hammer and robbed while entering a station in Long Island City, Queens.

It is estimated that more than 350 people live in the New York Subway and 8 have already died in 2022.
