8-year-old-girl-dies-while-practicing-aerial-dance

For some time now it has become fashionable to practice area dance, an exercise that with the help of large fabrics, both children and adults can perform different acrobatics that, when viewed, are beautiful but at the same time impressive.

Like any physical activity, performing aerial dance carries some risks, and more so if we think that said activity is carried out several meters away from the ground; also, not knowing how to handle the fabrics correctly could trigger a serious accident with fatal consequences.

That was what sadly happened to an 8-year-old girl from the town of Ushaisha, in Argentina , named Layla Eluney Cabrera, who died last 25 February due to a serious accident just when she was practicing this discipline.

According to local media, the minor’s parents found her alive inside her bedroom. According to the experts, Layla would have been practicing aerial dance with some fabrics that she had hanging in her room and a bad maneuver caused one of them to get entangled around her neck, which caused her to die by hanging.

Although her parents quickly called the emergency services, they were unable to do anything to revive her because when they arrived home, the girl had already died.
