Although reggaeton has captured the attention of listeners on streaming music platforms, with exponents such as Bad Bunny and J Balvin, it was a veteran in the industry, Luis Miguel, who made a new record on Spotify.
Yesterday, the romantic music singer became the first Latin artist to get 266 of his songs to exceed one million views on the platform, something that “El Sol” shared on his social networks.
Even if his latest record production, México en la Piel, premiered in 2017, and since then he has not released new tracks.
Among the songs that exceeded that number of reproductions are: “Now You Can March”, “La Incondicional”, “Hasta que Me Olvides”, “Guilty o No – Lie to me As Always” and “La Media Vuelta“.
In May of last year, Luismi also became the first Mexican artist to exceed 5 billion downloads on the music player, with songs that were released more than 20 years ago, being the third Latino to achieve that distinction. Among her hits that reached this milestone are “Suave”, “Qué Nivel de Mujer”, and “ Tengo Todo Excepto a Ti”.
