René Pérez, better known as Residente, sent a message through his social networks that was quite controversial.
The Puerto Rican singer revealed that he was going to release a song where he hits a urban singer. This would have found out and allegedly threatened Residente with suing him if he released the song. Who will it be?
Without naming names, the founder of Calle 13 pointed out that since this singer found out that he would talk about him in the single, he has not stopped trying to set limits and censor it.
“Since then He has not stopped calling everyone so that they do not bring up the subject. He called the producer, who is a little kid, to try to stop the issue… but he didn’t lend himself to that”, explained René Pérez Joglar in a video on Instagram assuring that “the war has just broken out”.
Various Internet users now say that it could be J Balvin, because last year both starred in a controversy when the Colombian called for a boycott against the Latin Grammys and the Puerto Rican pointed him out for this action.
“When you mess with urban influencers they give you these pend$%#*. These days I was going to release a song, where I talk about many things that are important to me in music, and in the end I dedicated a couple of lines to a pend there from the urban genre, “explained the interpreter of ‘ Death In Hawaii’.
Likewise, Residente sent a strong message against said person involved: “For a simple throwing away that it’s not even completely for him. In the end, I don’t care if he sues me. I don’t care if they don’t put me on the playlists. The difference between you and me is that I am free to do whatever comes out of the fuck%&$ and you are one more slave of the industry”.
Resident ended his speech warning that he will take the theme when his audience asks him: “As long as people decide, you can upload your little videos so that they feel sorry for you,” he said.
The artist’s fans, who are 6.9 millions on Instagram, they did not leave him alone and under his publication they showed their support, but they also asked him to bring up the subject. They were even joined by the singer Tito El Bambino who left a message that is giving a lot to talk about.
“This has turned into shit*. We went from a business of “men in pants” (as the expression goes, but including women like @ivyqueendiva who have earned respect and their position in the genre) to a business of gossips. Put out your song and respect your art. Let whoever wants listen to it”, he wrote to her.
