russian-soldiers-captured-by-ukrainian-forces-appear-in-videos-crying:-we-are-“cannon-fodder”

Russian soldiers in the custody of the Ukrainian forces appear in videos saying that they had no idea that they were being sent by Moscow to invade Ukraine and that they feel like “cannon fodder”.

“This is not our war. Mothers and wives, grab your husbands. There is no need to be here”, one can be heard saying in a video in which the Russian soldier appears sitting in front of a Ukrainian flag.

In other audiovisual material, a military man is seen Russian handcuffed and crying, while declaring: “They don’t even pick up the corpses, there are no funerals.”

Another captured Russian soldier said they were forced to attack Ukrainian residents who were only defending their territory.

“No one has attacked us and what Russia wants from war, I can’t understand it. Mom, dad, I love you”, said the soldier.

The Russian authorities indicated that Russia has lost about 5,24 soldiers in the first days of the conflict while trying to take over cities like Kiev, the capital, and Kharkiv.

The clamor of the Russian soldiers consists in a few 24 hours of recordings obtained by the British Intelligence firm ShadowBreak that reviews the Dialy Mail. The Security Service of Ukraine would also have shared the images on social networks.

The content also includes intercepted radio messages.

Although the Russian Ministry of Defense declared that it has renewed the battle on all fronts, the mobilization of the invaders has been slow with the regrouping of commandos and changes in strategy in the face of the resistance shown by the Ukrainians, which includes the presence of civilians who have chosen to take up arms to defend their country.

Mariupol, a port city in southern Ukraine, is under constant Russian bombardment. The intention of the Russian militia is to advance north and try to surround the fighters for the independent republic of Donetsk.
