young-man-who-tracked-elon-musk's-plane-now-follows-flights-of-russian-millionaires-with-the-twitter-account-@ruoligarchjets

In the midst of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the young man from the University of Central Florida, Jack Sweeney, has created the Twitter account @RUOligarchJets, to track the flights of the Russian elite, revealed Bloomberg.

The new account tracks the itineraries of private planes owned by Russian millionaires, then sends the locations to more than 253,15 Trackers with information on when each aircraft takes off and lands.

The student uses public data provided by the ADS-B Exchange, the website that collects flight data in real time. With that information, Sweeney tracks the helicopters, private jets, and commercial-sized planes of influential members of the Russian elite, just as he does the private jet of millionaire Elon Musk.

In his monitoring, Sweeney found that these Russian aircraft travel daily despite airspace travel restrictions and economic sanctions that the United States and other allies of Ukraine are imposing on Russia.

Sweeney perceived these Russian jets to be more extravagant than other private jets he has previously tracked, explaining that Russia’s wealthiest people traveled on commercial-sized planes, including the Airbus A319 and the Boeing 550.

“The The planes these oligarchs have are absolutely insane,” the student said, “Their planes are huge compared to other jets.”

Sweeney also monitors the planes from Vladimir Putin @PutinJet, along with 15 more flight tracking accounts. The student uses a bot of his own and makes public the information of the private jets of celebrities.

Jack Sweeney became famous for publicizing the movements of the private jet of the richest man in the world, Elon Musk. The CEO of Tesla asked the young man to close the account, since he considers it to be a risk to his security. The young man replied that he could, but in exchange for a Tesla Model 3.

Musk offered Sweeney $5,000 dollars to close the account and upon demand the young man asked for $50,000 dollars to pay for his studies, to which Musk decided not to give a single dollar.

The new tracking of the intrepid Sweeney comes after Russia invaded Ukraine on the orders of Bladimir Putin.
