An employee of the McDonald’s fast food store, Prince Need, was shot to death inside the establishment’s bathroom, as announced by the Arizona police.

According to Sergeant Vincent Cole, spokesman for the Arizona Department, the employee of 16 years had an altercation with an unknown man around 10: 15 on the morning of Wednesday, March 2 inside the restaurant that is located near 51st Avenue and Baseline Road in the West Phoenix.

Because of the way the shooting unfolded, police believe that Prince Need knew his assailant, who fled after committing the crime.

“There is a person of interest we are looking for. We are not revealing too many details about the suspect at this time,” said Vincent Cole.

The sergeant also reported at a press conference that no one else was injured during the shooting.

The Hispanic Miguel Nolasco, employee and friend of the victim, lamented the act of violence that took place inside the place and revealed that all the employees were like a family: “(It was) like family. He didn’t expect to get to work and see a bunch of police tapes like that. That’s terrible.”

McDonald’s owner and operator Travis Heriaud sent his condolences to the victim’s family: “We are saddened by the tragic loss of our friend and colleague. The highest priority of our organization is always the safety and well-being of our employees and customers in our restaurants. We are fully cooperating with the police department and their investigation.”

Phoenix police have asked the public to contact the department if they have information about the shooting in order to secure the arrest of the man who ended the life of the employee of 16 years.
