Adolfo Ríos, general director of Querétaro, suspects that the acts of violence that took place this weekend at the Corregidora Stadium were planned, given that barbarism was suddenly unleashed and the small number of security elements prevailed .
“It seemed that there was a situation of agreement, in exactly one minute in the game to be able to trigger a lack of control as it was triggered. And precisely, according to that, there was no possibility on the part of the elements that were; to react, because they were surpassed in every way,” Ríos said in an interview for TUDN.
In this sense, he added: “The way everything started, when the game had started in the second half, the fans had mosaics that were destined with colored paper to make that motivation towards the team and the fans themselves. Suddenly, it was an issue that detonated”.
Security exceeded
Regarding the work of the policemen who were “guarding” La Corregidora, the former soccer player said: “Unfortunately, it didn’t seem like there were policemen; because, really, they were not. They were surpassed, and that is the investigation that is being carried out with the state government; to know exactly where they were and what happened”.
He also commented that they have already issued a complaint against the security company that hired the club. It is worth noting that this company launched a call for people who wanted to be part of the protection of the match between Querétaro and Atlas, where they paid 15 Mexican pesos ($14.15 dollars) .
“We have already filed a complaint, for whoever is responsible for the whole situation of which the people who were inside the field were victims. Certainly, we have also filed that complaint against the security company that was overwhelmed, practically, in the entire situation, ”he stressed.
Ríos also clarified that the Querétaro bar does not receive special benefits, given that they acquire their subscriptions like any fanatic: “There is no relationship in the situation of facilities with the bar. They are all subscribers, they buy their Bonogallo to be able to enter the stadium. They are not given a preferential price, they are given discounts that are given to all the Querétaro fans.”
