There is no doubt that the life of the late Vicente Fernández, with all its lights and shadows, could serve as a plot for several films and, in fact, two parallel series about the Mexican singer are currently being prepared: one to be distributed by Netflix, responsible for the popular biopic on Luis Miguel, and another by Televisa, which does not have the approval of his family.
Chente’s widow has taken legal action to stop the project , titled ‘The Last King’, because she considers that she is “abusing” the name and memory of her missing husband. Doña Cuquita has also clarified through Instagram that she has the unconditional support of all her children and that none of them consider accepting money in exchange for collaborating with the scriptwriters and producers.
In this sense, Alejandro Fernández’s ex -one of the four children of the marriage- has wanted to clarify that she has always respected the wishes of her former mother-in-law, who is also the grandmother of her children. Ximena Díaz maintains that, contrary to what has been rumoured, she did not provide information to the author of the book on which the series is based.
His position has been to stay out of the controversy, but he wanted to make it clear that he would never participate in something with which he knew he would harm another person, especially the loved ones of El Potrillo, father of his son Emiliano and his daughter Valentina.
“The only thing I know is that, with your family, you are always right“, he assured Ximena. “Years ago I separated and I have my life apart. Who talks about the ex? It is a closed issue. I only respect and love the father of my children and an in-laws that will be my family until the day I die and that I love them with all my heart“, he added in an Instagram direct.
