Construction workers found badly decomposed human bones on the side of Hutchinson Parkway in the Bronx (NYC), at noon yesterday.
A construction crew made the grisly discovery around the 12: 30 pm in a wooded area near the north exit of Orchard Beach/City Island, the NYPD said.
Following the announcement, multiple officers began search for evidence at the scene, according to images filmed by News 12. The possible crime scene was cordoned off with a blue tarp and was illuminated by floodlights, the video showed, citing New York Post.
The remains were sent to the medical examiner for evaluation, according to police. The age of the victim and the cause and time of death have not been determined.
