Angélica Vale: Yes, it was a surprise For me, regardless of the fact that I work with them every week and I have to coach them and give them tips and everything, the truth is that I did not know that the level in this second season was so, so high. I know about the career of Christian Daniel, of Michael Stuart, of course I know Yahir, we have worked together, Kika… I knew that we have very important people, but I did not know that each one of them would come out to eat the stage as they did , the truth is that it was shocking, the high numbers have already started to complicate me, I don’t know what will happen in the following galas, because if everyone continues on that path, and they raise the bar, as usually happens in this show, son I don’t know what I’m going to do as a judge, as a coach to feel the best, but as a judge he’s going to attack me for sure.
-What difference do you find in this group, from the first season?
Angélica Vale: We did the first season with COVID, there was many more cases. It was much harder for us to get together, to have a good time, to be partners, because we couldn’t because of COVID, it wasn’t a lack of desire, but it was very difficult because it was coaching from a distance, I couldn’t really have a good time and relax, because everyone We were in total hysteria. I think that had a lot to do with the first season, and now we are obviously much more relaxed with everything about COVID… I think that each one of them, with so much rehearsal, so much that we have done, they have gotten into their heads that this is to have fun.
Here we as judges never come to judge their careers, nor their talent, nor everything they have done because that is already there and thanks to all that they have done and that is already , that is why they come to ‘Tu Cara Me Suena’, to try to become a person that you are not, none of them are going to be imitators for life and are going to leave their singing career, not at all, this is have a good time, but as a coach I can tell you that the level is much higher, I don’t know if it was prepared after seeing the first season, but the level is much higher than last season.
-Who surprised you the most for good, and who do you feel was missing?
Angélica Vale: I expected a lot more of yahir for example, I feel that ‘Yahir’ has already come out a lot, and it may be that I know him a lot too, it may be that I have worked with him, that I have been his friend for many years, a fan also because what I told him at the gala is True, I have all his songs on my phone and I listen to them all the time… The one that surprised me the most was Manny Cruz, I couldn’t help it, and I had to go down to hug him, nobody expected it, nobody.
-What do you think Sherlyn lacked in her Karol G?
Angélica Vale: I think having a little more fun, I was very nervous, this first gala suffered a lot, even though she came with a totally different attitude… you don’t know how beautiful she is, there happy as a mom and super cute and adorable and very funny as always beloved Sherlyn, I adore her!, but I think she suffered. Dancing and singing is not easy, I hope that the next gala goes better for her, because she came to have fun, but whether you want to or not, you get on the stage of ‘Tu Cara Me Suena’, and I swear that stage is heavy , we who had the fortune, both Chary and I, to go up last year, you don’t know how horrible it is to go up that stage, it’s very strong, it’s a very strong experience, so it does give a lot of nerve, and I think that Yahir, for For example, he was very serious, he has a great sense of humor, he is a very funny guy and I feel that he did not have fun with Alejandro (Fernández) either, I feel that he suffered more and that is why they did not look good.
