A Philadelphia teenager who has been identified as Sean Toomey died of a gunshot to the head while helping his father remove a box of water from the family car.

According to police, the 15-year-old teenager was shot twice: one in the head and one in the side last Thursday around 9: 00 pm northeast of Philadelphia.

Although the young man was taken to the hospital in an emergency, a day later he lost his life as a result of the gunshots.

The minor’s father, John, told ABC6 that his son was just helping to get the groceries out of the car that was parked in front of his house and never got back in.

“I heard two pops and I thought they were firecrackers. It was only (it was going to take him) a second to go through the box with waters and enter the house (but) he didn’t go back in. So I got curious, I put on my sweatshirt, I went out and I saw him lying on my neighbor’s lawn,” said Sean’s father.

So far police have said the shooting could be related to at least two robbery attempts in that area.
