Sylvester Stallone is one of the many Hollywood idols who wanted to pay tribute to Bruce Willis after his forced retirement was announced due to the communication problems that afflict him after it was discovered that he suffers from aphasia.
It was through his social networks that Stallone also expressed solidarity with the children and other loved ones of the protagonist of “Die Hard”, while recalling his long shared career with a series of photos that he released with the Internet users.
“Our relationship goes back a long time… I pray for us and I wish you and your beautiful family the best”, said Sylvester Stallone, of 75 years, on his Instagram account.
Although their experiences are far from comparable, there are to remember that Stallone recently said goodbye to two of his most iconic franchises, “Rocky” and “Rambo”, after acknowledging that he no longer had enough energy to face his demanding shoots.
Between Among the many familiar faces who also showed their support and admiration for Willis, of 67 years, are some directors and performers with whom he has worked in the later stages of his career.
For example, the filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan, who directed the artist in ‘The Sixth Sense’ and in the most recent ‘Glass’, defined him on Twitter as his “older brother”, while actress Sarah Paulson, with whom Bruce shared the bill in the last of the films mentioned, praised his professionalism and his infinite generosity.
“He was an incredible companion, the most loving, gentle and funny. It will always be one of my favorites”, he published.
Aphasia is a disorder caused by brain damage, in most cases, and whose main symptom is loss of speech that affects a person’s ability to communicate.
While there is no cure for aphasia, the underlying cause can be addressed and treated. Speech therapy is a common form of treatment and can reportedly help symptoms improve over time.
