Several hundred workers at a Kellogg’s plant that manufactures the Cheez-Its product won a new contract offering wage increases of more than 15 % for three years. This comes after 1,400 workers at the company’s grain plants went on strike for almost three months at the end of 2021.
The salary and benefit improvements that 570 workers at the Kellogg’s plant obtained this week are the largest ever obtained by the Retail, Wholesale and Department Stores Union (RWDSU).
Cheez-Its workers will receive 6% raises in the first year of his new contract, raises of 5% the following year and raises of 4.5% and a bonus of $500 dollars in the third year.
