A woman in a striking orange wig was caught brazenly throwing a cinder block at the window of a parked Manhattan taxi, then entering the vehicle to steal an iPhone and cash in broad daylight, police said. .

The suspect, dressed entirely in black and carrying an animal-print bag, acted casual as she strolled through West 37th Street near Hudson Yards mid-morning Thursday 24, with the heavy block in hand.

The NYPD released a video of the unusual sequence. “What are you doing?” someone can be heard asking the woman, who repeatedly looked towards the camera.
