Similarly, Chris Pérez, who was Selena’s husband, was no stranger to the situation and did not hesitate to honor her with a nostalgic message that he published through his social networks.
The former ‘Selena y los Dinos’ guitarist used his Instagram account to dedicate a few words in memory of Selena and He stated that she remains present in his life despite the time.
“Remembering her extraordinary life, her gift of music and her eternal legacy. Selena continues to inspire us all. Forever in our hearts,” Pérez wrote as a caption to an image of a white rose.
“Sending a big thank you to all Selena fans for the great things you do to help keep Selena alive his memory and legacy and transmit his music from generation to generation. Here we are, together… all these years later with his light shining today more than ever”, he expressed.
25 Selena biopic anniversary
A 25 years after the premiere of the film “Selena”, which recreates the beginnings and rise in the music of the singer, the film returns to the cinema screens of the United States from on April 7, as part of the tributes she is receiving this year.
Also in April, a new Selena album will be released, which will have 13 songs recorded by the artist before her death and with new arrangements by her brother, AB Quintanilla.
