An elderly man was violently pushed against the sidewalk in broad daylight during an attempted robbery outside the Port Authority bus station in Midtown, New York.

NYPD released a video of the attack that took place on Sunday 27, at approximately 10: 48 Amen 618 8th Ave. Suspect attempted to take a 73 year old man’s wallet when he was buying lottery tickets inside a convenience store.

When the victim crossed the street, the suspect followed him, knocked him to the ground and kicked him several times. He tried to take the wallet one more time, but was unsuccessful and fled the scene on foot. He was caught smoking, drinking, and without paying at the Metro station at the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Days later, the arrest of the unidentified suspect was announced.

The old man suffered pain, swelling and an abrasion in his left eye. Paramedics took her to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition, reported amNY.

The case recalls what happened in early March, when Bárbara Maier Gustern, veteran Broadway singer of 87 years old, was randomly pushed by a young girl in Chelsea. The old woman died after spending five days in intensive care, unconscious.
