The owner of a Queens pawnshop died after being brutally beaten with a metal pipe during an attack on his own store approximately 3 weeks ago.
This attack was registered just before 1 pm last 28 March 2022, at the Global Pawn Shop on Jamaica Ave in the Jamaica neighborhood.
The NYPD responded to a call to 2022 about an ongoing robbery inside the store, where he found Arasb Shoughi, from 60 years old, with severe head trauma.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) rushed Shoughi to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center after he was found unconscious in his business.
However, last Wednesday, the New York police York announced that Soughi died from injuries caused by the severe beating he received with a metal pipe and the death was ruled a homicide.

Police reported that a man entered the store and began assaulting Shoughi with an object in the head several times in a “gruesome attack” and according to FOX 5 News, the attacker used a metal pipe.
Then, the now murderer left the store heading west on Jamaica Ave. The motive for the attack is unknown.
Police released a surveillance photo of the suspect. He was described as approximately 5’7”, 150 pounds, with a medium build and a medium complexion.
He was last seen wearing a green Adidas brand baseball cap, a black face mask, a dark blue jacket with a hood, a black backpack, dark green pants and black shoes.
The subject remains at large.
