David Bonola, the worker arrested yesterday and who confessed to having stabbed his lover Orsolya Gaal to death in his luxurious residence and then abandoned his body on a Queens street, was known as a stalker and had been denounced as such to NYPD, stated several women after the news of his arrest broke.

The Hispanic used to leave “creepy” love notes and ask awkward questions to the baristas at the Starbucks near Gaal’s home. “Bonola came to the United States from Mexico some 22 years ago and appears to have been an aspiring filmmaker who studied at the New York School of Interior Design, according to the police and his Facebook profile,” reported New York Post.

At the time of his arrest, he was working as a maintenance worker (handyman) and apparently that was how Bonola (44) got involved two years ago with Gaal (51), a Hungarian immigrant, in a clandestine relationship because they were both married and they had children.

Some employees were so embarrassed by his constant advances that they called the police on numerous occasions, said one of them. “He would approach us and ask us for coffees and tell us that we looked pretty and make comments” and personal questions, said former barista Oliwia Pikulinski, from 13 years. “It was creepy, she stalked people… She knew. Everyone knew that he was a rare individual, especially at the Starbucks on Austin St”, in Forest Hills.

“He even proposed to two of us, which is very disturbing due to how strange what were the interactions,” continued Pikulinski. “I have no words,” she said of the arrest for the barbaric homicide. “After all the creepy incidents that happened and how unsettling it made everyone feel, especially the women I worked with and even the clients… It’s crazy to think about.”

A New York police spokesman said there were complaints of harassment on record at that Starbucks, but nothing consistent with Pikulinski’s claims. After being arrested yesterday, Bonola exchanged obscenities with a bystander as he left the police station in handcuffs 58 in Queens, flanked by five detectives.

The motive for the homicide has not been disclosed. Apparently Bonola and Gaal met on Friday night at the woman’s house in Queens, taking advantage of the fact that her husband and eldest son were on a trip. According to prosecutor Josh Garland, the two argued after he entered the residence with Gaal’s consent and Gaal was well acquainted with the elegant Forest Hills home, as he had worked there on several occasions.

In the hours before his death, Gaal dated friends on Friday to a show near Lincoln Center in Manhattan. Then he was in a bar near his home around pm Detectives aren’t sure if he planned to meet anyone there, but he stayed about 30 to 40 minutes and then returned home alone, said a high-ranking police source.

NYPD determined Gaal was stabbed at : 40 am Saturday in front of her house on Juno St, while her youngest son 13 years slept upstairs. She was stabbed 51 times. Her neck and upper body were riddled with stab wounds, and she had cuts on her hands indicating that she had resisted the attack.

Gaal was dismembered in her home and then abandoned in a duffel bag on a Queens street early Saturday morning. Cops quickly identified her by following the trail of blood from Forest Park to her home.

Yesterday Bonola was charged with murder, criminal manipulation and criminal possession of a weapon, and he confessed to the crime. Amid the lurid forensic details, her friends have defined Gaal as a “passionate” mother involved in the education of her children of 13 Y 17 years.
