The $473.1 million Powerball prize drawn this Wednesday in Arizona is the largest ever sold in that state.
So confirmed Arizona Lottery Executive Director Gregg Edgar.
“We are excited to celebrate this grand prize of $473.1 in Powerball from from a lucky Arizona resident,” Edgar said as quoted by NBC.
“This also means millions of dollars for our state’s economy, for this winning community, and for the vital programs and services that are funded by the sale of Arizona Lottery tickets,” added the official.
The winning ticket was purchased at the QuikTrip convenience store in Gilbert, a suburb of Phoenix.
The winning numbers were: 11, 36, 61, 62 and 68; the Powerball, 4.
Apart from the jackpot, more than 1.4 million tickets were awarded in yesterday’s drawing . In Indiana, one person won $1 million by matching all 5 numbers in the drawing.
