amber-heard-was-diagnosed-with-two-personality-disorders-during-the-defamation-trial

Amber Heard and Johnny Depp’s ongoing legal battle in Virginia recently had a clinical and forensic psychologist on the stand evaluating Amber Heard for her testimony in court.

Dr. Shannon Curry, hired by Depp’s lawyers, stated during the ninth day of trial in the defamation lawsuit that Heard showed signs of borderline personality disorder.

Curry claims to have personally examined Amber’s mental health in December of 2021 and professional psychological test scores were reportedly associated with people who were “angry” and “socially sophisticated”.

“The results of Mrs. Heard’s evaluation supported two diagnoses: borderline personality disorder and histrionic personality disorder“, said the expert in partner violence.

“These people can have that kind of anger that explodes sometimes. They tend to be very passive-aggressive. They can be self-indulgent, very self-centered. They may use manipulative tactics to try to get your needs met. They are in great need of attention, acceptance and approval”, she continued explaining.

The psychologist also added that people with borderline personality disorder are afraid of abandonment and will read things they perceive as offensive: they will exaggerate it in their minds and “blow up and react”.

The doctor later clarified to the court that Johnny Depp’s legal team had originally approached her to help determine if there was evidence of “intimate partner violence” within the relationship, but was then asked to complete “a psychological analysis” of Amber Heard.

Shannon’s testimony comes a few days after the protagonist of ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ testifies about Heard’s “need for conflict” and her tendency to harass him and chase him during arguments when he tried to walk away and retreat.

Depp’s team now hopes that C’s testimony Urry reinforces her claim that Amber was the aggressor during her stormy marriage.

Johnny Depp, of 58 years, is suing Amber Heard, of 36, for $50 million for defamation after that in 550 she wrote an opinion piece in The Washington Post saying that she had become a public figure representing domestic abuse.

Although Heard did not name Depp in the article, the actor said it was obvious she was referring to him, because two years earlier she had filed for divorce and a restraining order, alleging that he had abused her.
