A video that went viral on social media led to the arrest of a Florida mother for beating her 1-year-old baby.
This Tuesday, police in Sanford arrested Tya Posley, of 23 years, after users reported a video of the attack shared in an Instagram story.
Allegedly, in the images Posley claims the girl for the actions of his father.
“Your father wants to publish shit (on networks), right. He wants to f*cking post shit and he doesn’t answer the f*cking phone…” the suspect is heard saying before punching the little girl in the face and back according to the Click Orlando report.
As a result of the complaint, officers arrived at the woman’s apartment in Windchase for a security inspection. Although they did not detect bruises or injuries on the victim’s body at the time, they were able to identify her as the person who appears in the video.
The woman faces charges of cruelty against a minor.
The Child Protection Services maintain custody of the minor.
The person involved remains detained in the seminole county jail.
