The New York police are searching for two individuals in connection with a series of violent robberies against women carrying handbags on the streets of the Bronx.

The NYPD published, in its Twitter account, a video showing six robberies of women in less than 90 minutes , specifically in the Pelham Bay section of the Bronx, assaults recorded last Wednesday.

“🚨WANTED FOR THEFT PATTERN: In six separate incidents on 04/04/22 between 1 am and 2: 20 am in the Bronx, the suspects they beat several women and took their handbags by force before fleeing on a blue motorcycle. Do you have any information? MD @NYPDTips, or call them anonymously at 800-577-TIPS”, the NYPD wrote on Twitter.

As reported in the NYPD tweet , the robberies began around 1 a.m. last 20 April 2022. Authorities said the men approached the victims, who were between and 35 years old, and robbed them.

Police say five of the women were punched in the face before their purses were ripped out, in order to prevent them from resisting.

According to the NYPD, the events occurred on the following streets:

Incident #1: 577 Crotona Park

Incident #2: 1419 Jessup Avenue
Incident #3: 1494 Boston Road
Incident #4: 1859 Archer Street

Incident #5: 1414 East 175 Street
Incident #6: Robert Avenue and Bruckner Blvd.

In one of the attacks, the victim is shown outside the e a building when one of the men ran towards her. She falls to the ground as he grabs her bag. She runs towards them and appears to get punched in the face from her.

Seconds later, the chase continues, when the second man jumped to the motorcycle and fled.

For the time being, the police have not released any description of the suspects.

No place is safe in New York

Yesterday afternoon it was reported that a woman from 22 was shot in the torso in his home on Staten Island, which which prompted a huge response from the NYPD.

The incident occurred on Lyman Avenue in the Fort Wadsworth neighborhood, but it was not immediately clear if the shooting it happened inside or outside the house, a police spokeswoman said. The young woman was shot by someone she knew, according to the NYPD.

Police said they had two people in custody, but it was not clear what the motive for the shooting was. None of those involved have been identified and no charges were announced as of last night.
