This Wednesday night, the Mexican authorities reported that a total of 386 migrants from 13 countries were found in the middle of an operation in the Mexican state of Puebla.
According to the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) of Mexico detailed that, among the people who were found were 75 women and 311 men, who intended to be transferred to the northern border by a criminal group dedicated to human trafficking.
Likewise, the FGR said that through of the Special Prosecutor for Organized Crime, and with the support of agents of the Federal Ministerial Police, the Criminal Investigation Agency, and the Secretary of the Navy, executed a search warrant in the state of Puebla, where he managed to find of these 386 migrants but also the detention of at least six people.
The statement details that the people in illegal status were from El Salvador, Uzbekistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Guatemala, India, Venezuela, Cuba, Honduras, Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela and Bangladesh.
“Juan “M”, José “M”, Andrés “R” and Raúl “C” were arrested right there. The property with warehouse functions, a trailer, two vehicles and two motorcycles was also secured, “said the Prosecutor’s Office.
Finally, it added that agents from the National Institute of Migration (INM) intervened in the procedure. “for the custody and shelter of migrants”.
