The US Department of Justice reported this Thursday on the sentence of 20 years in prison in addition to 20 years of supervised release for a Miami man for distributing child pornography over the course of a year.
According to a Miami federal court, the subject identified as “Gross” he spent a year on a social media messaging app, where he chatted and shared videos and images of sexually abused children.
In these chats, Gross proudly commented on his “sexual exploits ” with young girls, requesting explicit videos of them and even sending photos of their private part to ask the minors if they could “handle it”.
“In addition to his prison sentence of 20 years, Gross will be released on supervised release for 50 years. In a few months, a restitution hearing will be held to determine what it will have to pay the victims”, detailed the Department of Justice in a statement.
In the letter, it explains that the FBI Miami, in particular, the FBI Miami Child Exploitation Task Force and the Miami Dade Human Trafficking Unit were in charge of investigating the case, which was prosecuted by assistant federal prosecutors Joseph Egozi and Abbie D. Waxman.
“Juan Antonio González, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, and George L. Piro, Special Agent in Charge, FBI Miami, announced the sentence imposed by United States District Judge Paul C. Huck ”, highlighted the Department.
