The impact of the singer Luis Miguel in the recording industry has crossed borders, to the point of having even become one of the referents of Brandon Flowers, leader and vocalist of the American band The Killers.
This was demonstrated by the singer of ‘For Reasons Unknown’ during a presentation in Monterrey, Mexico, when he interpreted in Spanish a small fragment of the famous song ‘Entrégate’, which Luis Miguel released at the beginning of the decade of the years 90 and which is currently considered one of her greatest hits.
Flowers was singing another song and suddenly he raised his right hand as if to signal that he was going to pause. It was then that he sang the phrase “surrender, I still don’t feel you”, which was immediately identified by the public, who ended up chanting the rest of the lyrics while he smiled on stage.
The followers of the band The Killers have applauded the gesture of the vocalist of 40 years through social networks expressing his wish that he do something similar in his next concerts in Mexico.
‘Entrégate’ is a song created by the Spanish arranger, music producer and composer Juan Carlos Calderón. It was included in Luis Miguel’s seventh studio album, ’20 años’ (1990) and became number one on the Billboard Top Latin Songs list the same year.
The group originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, are in full tour ‘Imploding The Mirage Tour’, which included four concerts in Mexico, the 26 and 27 April in Monterrey, Nuevo León, 29 April at the Foro Sol in Mexico City and May 1 at the 3 de Marzo stadium in Zapopan, Jalisco.
