A grandson of James Molinaro, former president of Staten Island (NYC), was arrested with 89 pounds of marijuana after of a shooting that left a young woman seriously injured.

Steven Molinaro, of 33 years old, was arrested Wednesday afternoon and charged with felony marijuana possession, according to the NYPD. Cops allegedly found the stash of marijuana along with more than $100,000 dollars in cash.

That day the police were called to 89 Lyman Avenue, Fort Wadsworth neighborhood, just before 5 pm for reports of a shooting. There they found a young woman, believed to be Steven Molinaro’s girlfriend, with a gunshot wound to the chest.

She was rushed to Staten Island University Hospital, where she was intubated last night, she said police. Almir Ramic, age 34, who also lives in that building, was also arrested and charged with felony possession of marijuana, added New York Post.

Steven Molinaro is a founding member of the “Conservative Party of New York State”, created in 1962 by dissidents from the Republican Party.

His grandfather has not commented after Wednesday’s arrest. This is not the first time that his grandson has been in trouble with the law. In 2006, the then young man from 17 years he was accused of attempted murder in a stabbing, he finally pleaded guilty to assault and was given five years in prison, he recalled

And in 2006 was arrested in Sonoma County, California, with 100 pounds of marijuana, according to Staten Island Advance.
