The autopsy performed on Lily Peters, a 10 year-old girl who was found dead in northwestern Wisconsin last Monday, determined that death was due to strangulation and blunt force trauma.
Ronald Patten, Chippewa County Coroner, reported that the autopsy of Illiana “Lily” Peters showed that the cause of death was homicide. He added that he is awaiting the results of toxicology tests, which should be ready in four to six weeks. However, the coroner did not provide further details in this regard.
Peter’s case has gained notoriety after the authorities discovered the body of the minor on Monday morning on a path to walking after being at his aunt’s house in Chippewa Falls, the Associated Press reported.
