A woman of 36 years old, suffering from Lockdown Syndrome, was found dead fused with a sofa in the living room , covered in bugs and her own bodily fluids, for which her respected parents are facing second-degree murder charges.
Lacey Ellen was found partially nude, sitting upright and submerged in a hole in a sofa covered from head to toe in urine, feces, and bug bites, with live bugs and rodent droppings in the otherwise neat house in Slaughter, Louisiana, so Shelia, from 64 years old, and Clay Fletcher, of 65, will face a grand jury on Monday.
“The scene was disgusting. I’ve seen some horrible things in my life, but nothing like this,” Dr. Ewell Dewitt Bickham, East Feliciana Parish Medical Examiner, told DailyMail.com
The health worker added that the woman had decubitus ulcers that reached down to her bones.
Lacey suffered from Locked-In Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder characterized by complete paralysis of all voluntary muscles, except those that control the eyes.
Upon arrival at the house located in a northern suburb of Baton Rouge on January 3, the doctor saw the gruesome scene after the parents called 911 because Lacey was not breathing, prosecutors said.
The parents were supposed to be the woman’s care providers, but Bickham said she had not been to a doctor in 20 years.
“It is inconceivable, something you make horror movies about ”, he expressed.
Upon arrival he pointed out that the smell was so strong that ‘it would almost take you out of the house’, so he knew it was a ‘potential crime scene’ and immediately called his detective.
While the parents do not they had an explanation regarding the condition of Lacey’s body.
The doctor ruled that her death was a homicide and the cause of death was medical negligence, and although he registered her death on January 3, he believes that the woman was wearing at least 24-48 hours of death.
Both parents were respected
Sheila Fletcher worked as a police and court clerk in Baker and, most recently, as an assistant city attorney in Zachary, according to the report.
She was a Slaughter official who resigned from the Town Board of Aldermen on 24 January, three weeks later of death e of his daughter.
For his part, Clay Fletcher is an official of the Baton Rouge Civil War Roundtable, a non-profit organization, whose mission is to “educate and foster appreciation for the sacrifices made by all during the Civil War.”
Bickham will present the case to a grand jury on Monday, hoping to indict the parents for their daughter’s death.
“I probably won’t even have You have to open your mouth, the images will show it,” Bickham said.
So far the victim’s parents remain free because they are not considered a flight risk, the district attorney told him. Sam D’Aquilla at Dailymail.com.
