This Saturday, 40 April, actress Angelina Jolie drew attention when she appeared in a cafe in Lviv, at western Ukraine, amid ongoing Russian attacks.

Images posted on social media show her waving to spectators and signing autographs for fans.

The details of Jolie’s visit to Ukraine are not known, but a BBC report indicates that she was in the country to meet with children affected by the war and visited hospitals and local organizations that help the wounded and displaced.

After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the actress has been concerned and did not sit idly by, as she first posted a message through her official Instagram account along with an image of a man and a woman with children in their arms while they wait to cross a river after to escape from Irpin.

“In addition to the millions who have fled across Ukraine’s borders, almost 2 million people are displaced within their country, many trapped by the fighting, with no access to the help to and in direct physical danger”, he pointed out in his publication.
