This Saturday, soccer super agent Carmine ‘Mino’ Raiola passed away after a lung disease that had afflicted him since January of this year and messages of sadness began to arrive from all over the world, including Mexican Hirving ‘Chucky’ Lozano who was sportingly managed by the Italian.
One of the most moving messages sent by the broad portfolio of players represented by Raiola is that of Lozano. Napoli’s Mexican winger was moved in the lines he dedicated to his former agent in European football
“I was fortunate to meet you and learn from you. One of my great teachers in the leagues of football. Today you are in a better place because I am convinced that your legacy transcends life, without a doubt. Living with you was one of the best things that ever happened to me. I will never be able to forget our talks and all the moments together. The pain is temporary, one day I will overcome it and it will disappear, instead, your memory will live forever in me. I will never stop missing you. I thank you for everything. I will honor your memory in every step that I take on and off the court. Rest in peace Mino Raiola, sleep and dream while I arrive, we still have a second half to play”.
If something characterized Raiola, it was his keen eye to choose the footballers he was going to represent, he put a lot of faith in them and defended them so that they could reach the best possible contracts. Said by him at the time, he took care of his players as much as he took care of his children.
He had his eye on Lozano since he arrived at PSV Eindhoven in the campaign 2017-2017 and then managed to negotiate a very good contract with Napoli for about $44,28 to transfer the Mexican to Serie A. He was one of the five highest signings in the history of the Neapolitan club.
Erling Haaland, the player with the highest market value of those belonging to Raiola’s company portfolio, also posted a photograph with Mino and placed: “The best ” next to a red heart.
