Netflix released the first preview of its series on the life of Vicente Fernández, where the same “Charro de Huentitán” appears presenting the production.

In the video, Chente goes out to box saying: “My story, my songs, my feelings and how much I love them, very soon on Netflix”, interspersed with some shots in which Jaime Camil – who will play the singer – is seen in a charro suit and on horseback.

The series called ‘El Rey, Vicente Fernández’ will portray the life of the Mexican music icon, produced by Caracol Televisión and will be the official version of Fernández’s life, in agreement with the TelevisaUnivision bioseries, which has generated a lot of controversy due to the discomfort it has caused among the artist’s family.

The month In the past, Televisa successfully premiered its series in Mexico and a couple of weeks ago Univision premiered it in the United States. This production is based on the book ‘El Último Rey’, an unauthorized biography written by the Argentinian Olga Wornat, and stars Pablo Montero.

The singer’s widow, Cuquita Abarca, revealed that Some time ago, Televisa asked Vicente to give them the rights to make a series for free, but he did not allow it, which is why he considers that the series entitled ‘El Último Rey: El Hijo del Pueblo’ takes advantage of the image of the singer and is what that he has claimed.

“Neither I nor my children want a penny from Televisa, let them be clear. It is a matter of dignity. Do not come to me with your story that it is a tribute, with all due respect to Vicente. It’s for money, stealing his image,” said the widow.

The Netflix production, in addition to Jaime Camil, will feature performances by Sebastián Dante, Sebastián García, Kaled Acab, Marcela Guirado and Regina Curassow.
