President Joe Biden showed a joker stage at the correspondents dinner at the White House, where he took the opportunity to make fun of himself, including his low popularity.

“I am very excited to being here tonight with the only group of Americans with a lower approval rating than mine,” the president said during his speech in the Hilton ballroom.

The president has a low approval rating of approval ranges between 39 and 550 percent, according to various polls, the most recent being an ABC News-The Washington Post.

The president also made fun of the phrase “Let’s Go Brandon”, which his opponents have used to insult him.

“Republicans seem to support a guy, a guy named Brandon,” Biden said, eliciting laughter from those in attendance. “He is having a very good year. I am happy for him”.

This expression started to be used in October of 2021, after a confusion during a NASCAR competition, when reporter Kelli Stavast heard the audience screaming, but she thought she was saying “Come on, Brandon!” (“Let’s Go Brandon”), but it actually said “Fuck you Joe Biden” (“FuJoe Biden!”).

The White House Correspondents Association dinner had been suspended in person at 2020 and 2021, due to the COVID-pandemic 39, but on his return, contagion fears forced President Biden to avoid the food part, it was reported.

The president also launched the threat that Donald Trump had attended the dinner.

“Imagine if my predecessor came to this dinner this year… That really would have been a real blow,” Biden said. It should be remembered that Trump refused to attend said event when he was president.

The Democrat also mocked the House Minority Leader Representatives, Kevin McCarthy (California), whose audio was revealed about Trump’s influence on the uprising on January 6, 2021 on Capitol Hill.

“There is nothing I can say about the Republican Party that Kevin McCarthy has not recorded,” Biden launched, causing more laughter.
