A Maryland man missed work, and as a result he earned $100,000 dollars in the lottery.

The construction industry worker of 58 years, from the city of Bowie in Maryland , was on his way to work on April 23 when he was told that he was not really needed that day.

Going On the way home, he decided to stop at a TJ Beer, Wine & Liquor store, and once there he bought three $10 Dollars. “Since I’m here, why not?” thought the future lucky winner at that moment.

The worker scratched off the three tickets in the store and realized that he had won the $66,000 dollars, so he decided to quickly go home to tell his girlfriend and three daughters.

“Everyone was very happy for me , but you know, they all wanted me to buy them something,” said the man who preferred to remain anonymous.

The construction worker claimed his prize of $100,000 dollars and plans to use it to help his family, take care of his daughters, buy some necessities and maybe take a vacation, according to CNN.
