The San Francisco Giants fulfilled this Saturday a dream of a fan of 101 years of meeting her favorite player, Brandon Crawford. The curious thing is that it was precisely on the day that the lady fulfilled the year with which she passed the centenary of age.
The fan, named Mary, went viral on social media displaying a banner in the stadium that read “I want to meet Brandon Crawford on my birthday 101”, something that the San Francisco management did not miss to have a gesture that both Mary herself and her family will remember forever.
Interestingly, Brandon’s wife, Jalynne Crawford, was the one who captured the encounter by posting her photos on her Twitter account.
In them you can see a couple of photographs of Mary accompanied by her idol and also one in which the entire family that was present at the ‘Bay Stadium’ appears.
Crawford has been playing for Californian currency since 2011, so granny’s ‘love’ doesn’t seem to be of new data and apparently has followed the player who was essential in the World Series roster that conquered San Francisco in 2012 and 2014.
As if that were not enough, the Giants beat the Nationals 9-3 this Saturday in which Mary’s favorite, Crawford 3-1 with RBI, ended up closing a very happy birthday for what is perhaps the longest-standing fan in San Francisco.
