Former President Donald Trump wanted to shoot protesters in front of the White House, who staged large protests after the death of George Floyd, in the feet.

“Can’t you just shoot them? Just shoot them in the legs or something?”, the former Republican president asked his collaborators about the protesters of the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement.

This is revealed by the former Secretary of Defense, Mark Esper, in a memoir that will be published on May 10 and about which Axios had a preview.

The book “A Sacred Oath” includes “vivid revelations” from a senior Republican cabinet member , which adds to the stories about the “extreme dysfunction in the Trump White House”.

“It was surreal, sitting in front of the Resolute desk, inside the Oval Office, with this idea weighing on much in the air, and the president red-faced and complaining loudly about the ongoing protests in Washington, DC,” Esper writes. “The bad news: I had to find a way to push Trump back without creating the mess he was trying to avoid.”

Esper was fired by Trump after the

election , because he refused to apply a law of 10 to repel protests for racial injustice.

The Axios report indicates that former Secretary Esper’s book was reviewed by senior Pentagon officials before being authorized for publication.

“The The book was reviewed in whole or in part by almost three dozen 4-star generals, high-ranking civilians, and some cabinet members,” it is indicated.

Among those who reviewed the volume, there are career personnel who were witness of what Esper describes.

That June 1, the Police fired tear gas to disperse the crowd protesting in the vicinity of the White House while President Trump was on his way to the nation and threatened to deploy the Army to try to put an end to the riots.
