Amber Heard returned to the stand this Tuesday, May 29, to continue the cross-examination of Johnny Depp’s lawyer in his trial for defamation.
On this occasion, the validity of the photos that Heard took six years ago that show Depp’s alleged abuses, which the actor’s defense accused of being edited, was questioned.
Johnny’s lawyer, Camille Vasquez, alleged that Amber enhanced the saturation in some of the images to make her face appear redder, while the actress denied the allegations.
“I have never edited a photograph,” Heard told the jury after being asked present the photo comparison.
Heard testified that her friend had taken photographs of her face in various positions and lighting throughout the house to capture an accurate look at the redness and swelling on her cheekbone and around the eye.
However, Camille Vasquez continued to affirm that the police officers who went to the couple’s house that night they testified that they did not see any visible wound on Heard’s face at that time.
“I did not identify her as a victim of domestic violence”, was what agent Melissa Sáenz testified a few weeks ago, who went to the residence when receiving an emergency call.
Yes Amber retouched the images , the jury now has more evidence of the defendant trying to manipulate the evidence. This is considered a crime, especially if they present the evidence during a trial.
In the lawsuit between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, the actor accuses her of defamation for an article she published in The Washington Post in 2018, after his divorce, in which he claimed to have suffered “domestic abuse”.
Depp demands financial compensation from his ex-partner of $50 million dollars in damages.
