kfc-employee-in-memphis-saved-woman-who-had-been-a-victim-of-kidnapping

Last Sunday, an employee of a local KFC in Memphis, Tennessee, became a true hero after saving a woman who was kidnapped.

It turns out that the woman , victim of the kidnapping, entered the KFC store located at 6200 Winchester Street, together with a man who was later identified as Diego Clay.

The woman managed to write a distress note and one of the KFC employees managed to read it. Upon learning of the emergency he was experiencing, he immediately called the Memphis Police Department for their help.

The agents quickly arrived at the KFC and immediately began looking among the customers for the subject that the local employee had described by phone. As soon as he saw them, Clay fled the restaurant, despite the officers ordering him to stop.

However, the police chased him and managed to stop him a few blocks later.

The woman told the agents that she was Clay’s girlfriend, that she had gone to visit him and that the man did not return her cell phone. She also indicated that he had threatened her with a firearm so that she would not get away from him when they entered the KFC and even hit her.

The subject in question had forced the woman to live with him in different motels in Memphis. He is currently being held in a Shelby County jail, where he will face trial on charges of kidnapping and evading arrest. His bail was set at $35,000 dollars.
