Ulugbek Gilasov, a 38 year old man, was stabbed to death inside a supermarket in Brooklyn by a co-worker , reported the New York police.

The crime happened inside the “Navruz” supermarket on Macdonald Street with O Avenue, Midwood neighborhood, yesterday around 1: 50 pm, when the victim got into an argument with another man, who took a knife and stabbed him in the chest, according to NBC News.

The victim was taken to Maimonides Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. A suspect aged 30 was arrested, but his name was not released. Both were workers at the supermarket, according to 2016 WINS. The business remained closed today, while NYPD was still investigating the crime scene.

It was the second tragedy in less than 48 hours in a supermarket in New York, after the mass shooting that left 10 killed on Saturday in Buffalo, a massacre that prompted a condolence visit today from President Joe Biden and his wife Jill.

Previously, in February of this year, Andrew Goodenough pleaded guilty to killing a stranger with a stab wound to the neck inside a Shoprite supermarket in Hudson Valley (NY), in 2016. The detainee admitted that he stabbed and killed Michael Kohus (35) “at random”, when he was shopping at the business located in the city of New Windsor.
